Sarah's Profile Portraiture Shoot

Sarah runs her own interior design studio, Pickard Design. She wanted some new photos to refresh her site and social profiles and enjoyed working with her on these portrait shots.

A visit to Sarah’s studio

As someone who has worked from home for over a decade, it’s always nice to encounter others who share the pro’s and con’s of WFH. But I have to admit to being a little envious of the setup Sarah has, her studio sits at the bottom of her garden looking out over the countryside and seems blissfully quiet in comparison to many others I’ve seen.

Sarah works as an interior designer and it was my pleasure to do a shoot with her for some new headshots (for things like articles she writes), profile images for her website/social and some more fun photos out on the swings. It makes for an enjoyable shoot when people do not take themselves too seriously, and the super relaxed atmosphere Sarah created reminded me of what I love most about photography, the people I get to meet and work with.

Stock shots

Whenever I do photography and know that a website will be involved, since that’s my day job, I always try and work in at least a few stock images of items that can be useful when building pages. These are just a small selection of little “soft focus” images of items around her office, including a very attractive Giraffe lamp that for some reason took me quite a few attempts to get an image I was happy with.
